(Reuters) – UnitedHealth Group (NYSE:) CEO Andrew Witty wrote in a New York Instances (NYSE:) opinion piece on Friday that the healthcare system was flawed and was a “patchwork constructed over a long time.”
Within the NYT article, Witty mourned the killing of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealth’s medical insurance unit, final week. The killing has ignited an outpouring of anger from Individuals struggling to obtain and pay for medical care.
